The Summerbridge Experience
Summerbridge allowed my mind to expand and made me realize the importance of a great education. Because of the teachers at Summerbridge, I learned vital information for my education like the correct way to study and how to write a paper worthy of an A. I learned the value of being a leader and being a strong and determined person. In my junior and now my senior year, I have been the captain of the silk squad at Bethlehem Catholic. I learned to come out of my comfort zone and to never be afraid of asking questions.
Summerbridge also taught me how important it is to spend my time giving back and volunteering my talents. I have been volunteering at St. Luke’s Hospital and Miller Keystone Blood Center for the past three years of my high school career. At Summerbridge, I took a health class which helped further my passion to help and care for others. I am now taking a class to earn my EMT certification and I am beginning to apply to colleges. I would like to be in the healthcare field and my goal is to become a physician assistant or perhaps a doctor after that. All in all, I am so glad I attended Summerbridge because I met inspiring and intelligent people and it was the beginning of further enrichment in my future.
