Purpose

• We have to teach facts - that is a given. But the facts are not the end point, they are the starting point. 

• They are the things that we use to launch students into higher order thinking tasks like creating, evaluating, critiquing, comparing and contrasting, questioning, predicting, etc.

• What I have provided is a strategy for evaluating the facts you need to provide and determining how to take those facts and utilize them for higher order thinking - in this case, I am asking you to create meaningful questions/discussions

• Get into department groups and find a space to work

• Scroll below to the relevant document

• One person per department, print out the page 1 chart and make a copy for each group member (this will be important to have in front of you so you don't have to keep scrolling while you work)
