Kindness Rock Garden

• We are going to try something new as a teacher group. If it goes well, we will try to implement this idea as a mental health exercise and community service activity with the students.

• A kindness rock garden is simply a garden made of painted rocks where people can leave or take a rock.

• The idea is that we are going to spread kind and positive thoughts to others while also doing something soothing for ourselves.

Basic Steps

• Clean the rocks with water and dry

• Apply base coat of acrylic paint if desired and allow to dry for 24 hours

• Use acrylic paint pens to add designs to the rocks

• Spray with finish to protect rocks from the weather.
