Teaching Portfolio

• If you take the time to make a portfolio, utilize it during your interview.

• No one is going to ask you to see it. You need to bring it out and utilize it to sell yourself and your talents.

• Pictures can be extremely useful in telling the story of who you are as a teacher.

Anticipating Questions

• Utilize the question bank we have created based on real questions our teachers have been asked in interviews.

• Look at the commonly used ones - technology, classroom management, communication with parents, teaching philosophy, etc.

• Create portfolio pages that can be used when addressing these questions.

• Utilize pages of your portfolio to answer those questions tangibly, with examples from your real experience.

• Creating a portfolio is not just a plan for your interview, it also helps you to recap what you have done and refresh your memory.
